Thoughts of the artist and intention behind the work:
"The structures and the choice of coloring is of particular importance
in almost all my artworks.
The one conditions the other. The source of inspiration here were
Volcanoes - the fascinating mountains of fire,
which are usually associated with devastating eruptions,
destruction and tragic fates. But they also have another side:
In the Greek and Roman mythology
it was the seat of the god of fire and forge,
in prehistoric times a supplier of valuable raw materials
and even today they exert a fascination on us humans by their power.
I have also been captivated by these fascinating mountains of fire.
In the diptych "Explosive" I have expressed this through the different
structures and colour nuances."
